After having obtained a degree in Business Economics at the University la Sapienza in Rome, she has earned an M.A. in Organization and Management of Insurance Undertakings at the LUISS Business School of Rome. In November 2021, Ms. Fratini Passi also attended LUISS Business School and Assogestioni's course "Board Academy: University Advanced Course, in the area of Governance, Risk & Compliance."

She is the Managing Director of CBI, a company that develops cross-border digital payment services focusing cash management, for all banks, and the Public Administration.

In her professional path, she also has been an expert at the European Commission for E-invoicing and chaired the Financial Services Working Group of the National Committee on Trade Facilitation at the Italian Ministry for Economic Development.

She performs a variety of roles, including those of:

  • Non executive Director of listed companies
  • Board Member of AS LUISS
  • UN/CEFACT (United Nations Centre for Trade Facilitation and Electronic Business) Vice-Chair of the Pay Section of the International Supply Chain Programme Development Area and liaison Rapporteur of the UNECE to the ISO Technical Committee on Financial Services (ISO TC68)
  • Italian Delegate for UNINFO of the ISO 20022 Registration Management Group (RMG) 

Over the years she is the author of articles and papers that have been published at the domestic and international level. She is also a keynote speaker and an opinion leader for digitalization, e-payments, open finance and gender diversity. 

She has been selected by Forbes Italia amongst the most "100 influential Italian women of 2021", she was nominated among the "Inspiring Fifty Italy", “Woman in FinTech of the year” for the “Women in Finance – 2020/2021 Italy Awards” promoted by UK Embassy in Italy, Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer, Lener & Partners and Borsa Italiana, and "Managing Director of the Year – Banking” by Le Fonti Awards, both for 2021 and 2022. In October 2023, she was listed among Fortune Italy's 50 Most Powerful Women. The magazine has awarded the top managers who have been distinguished for their commitment and perseverance in various fields.

In November 2024, she was awarded the Standout Women Award for her significant roles at a global level and for being recognized as an opinion leader in various topics, from e-payment to open finance.
